Deck n Roll Games Night - Friday 23rd October

New to D&D? This table is for you. We'll be playing Phandelver and Below, the adventure designed as the way into the game, and it earns that reputation.

You'll start as hired escorts guarding a supply wagon on the road to Phandalin, a rough-and-ready frontier town with a missing dwarf and more goblin trouble than it can handle. Something far stranger is stirring beneath its streets, but that's for later.

No experience needed. The rules get explained as we play, and dice, character sheets and miniatures are all provided. Just bring yourself.

A gold medallion was caught in a fishing trawler's net off the coast of South America. Through many black markets, and off the record auctions, the piece was purchased by an eccentric fortune finder named Professor Edmund Vale.

The inscriptions and markings seem almost alien to even the most astute researchers money can bribe. All that is known is if the medallion is placed next to a compass, or other navigational equipment, then a new bearing is made… pointing to an area off the coast of Chile where few had previously explored.

The year is 1982, are you an expedition leader, a treasure hunter, a research assistant, or even the professor's nurse? Come on board and uncover the dark mysteries hidden within.

When you join the table, I will send out a "character sheet" which is simply a number of questions to help build your backstory. If you do not have time to complete it before the event, then pre gens will be available.

Dread is a story driven RPG which does not use dice. Instead actions are considered successful by pulling Jenga blocks out of an already crumbling tower. If the tower falls, your character dies.

Dread is a horror themed game… you have been warned.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

In the earth’s dark womb, there is no Sun,
and Darkness swallows all light. Gazing at the Roof above, Folk only find the distant glow of False Stars.

Fomoria stretches endlessly, a labyrinth
of shifting tunnels and yawning caverns.
Maps are lies, memories betray, familiar paths twist. The promise of discovery leads to doom.

The Ivory Forest Shrine stands beneath pale towers of mushroom flesh. Their caps vanish into the black, feeding on what the Folk bury in their roots. Today, the lichen-covered walls are filled with whispers. Folk are vanishing. There’s a doll near the stream, no sight of its child. A woman never returned from the well. A moss farmer’s home was left empty. The Folk here are not warriors; they only seek to endure in calm existence. You are the exception.

This is a one shot adventure suitable for all experience levels. Pregen characters provided.

After a thrilling Dinosaur race through the city, Zindar has requested you look into two ships that docked late at night flying black flags.

What will you find? Will you adventure into the Jungle or rub elbows with the locals.
